Terms of Use

1. The service

Cozziny suggests recipes from the ingredients you have, recognizes ingredients in photos and transcribes recipes on paper, using artificial intelligence. It also lets you save and organize recipes in folders, kept on your device and in your account. The artificial intelligence features are part of the Cozziny Pro subscription (section 3).

2. Account

To use the app you need to sign in with Apple or Google. Your library and your subscription are tied to that account. You are responsible for access to your device and to the account you sign in with. If you are under 18, use the app with your guardians’ knowledge and permission. The app is not intended for children under 13.

3. Cozziny Pro subscription and free trial

Cozziny Pro unlocks recipe generation with artificial intelligence, reading photos of ingredients and of recipes on paper, and importing recipes by link, text or sharing from other apps. To start using the app, you start the free trial or subscribe to a plan.

• Plans: monthly and yearly, renewing automatically. Each plan’s price is shown in the app before purchase, in your store account’s currency, including applicable taxes.
• Free trial: first-time subscribers may get 3 days free, once per store account, when the store offers it. When the trial ends, the subscription is charged automatically unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the trial ends.
• Billing: payment is charged to your App Store (Apple) or Google Play (Google) account when the purchase is confirmed or when the trial ends. The subscription renews for the same period and price, and the renewal is charged within 24 hours before the period ends, unless you cancel before then.
• Cancellation: you can cancel anytime in your store account settings or in Profile → "Manage subscription". Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period already paid (or of the trial), and you keep access until then. Deleting the app or your account does not cancel the subscription.
• Without an active subscription: you can still see, edit and organize your saved recipes and add recipes by hand. The artificial intelligence features stay locked until you subscribe again.
• Refunds: requested from Apple or Google under each store’s rules, without prejudice to your consumer rights.
• Price changes: if the price changes, you will be notified in advance under the store’s rules and can cancel before the next charge.
• Restoring purchases: on a new device, use "Restore" on the subscription screen or in Profile with the same store account.

4. AI-generated recipes

Recipes, amounts, times, calories and transcriptions are produced automatically and may contain mistakes. So:

• check ingredients and labels if you have an allergy, intolerance or other dietary restriction. The app tries to respect the restrictions you set, but does not guarantee the absence of allergens;
• follow good hygiene and cooking practices, especially with meat, eggs and seafood;
• calories are estimates, for reference only;
• the app does not provide medical, nutritional or dietary advice. If you have a health condition, consult a professional.

5. Your content

The photos, recipes and text you add remain yours. You allow us to process them only to provide the service, such as sending a photo to the AI so it can be read. When you scan a recipe from a book or someone else, use it for personal purposes and respect its author’s copyright.

6. Acceptable use

You may not:

• use the app for illegal purposes or to send offensive or illegal content, or content that infringes the rights of others;
• try to access the servers, the AI or other people’s data by means not offered in the app, or overload the service;
• copy, decompile or resell the app, except where the law allows it.

We may limit or suspend access for anyone who breaks these terms.

7. Intellectual property

The app, the Cozziny brand, its design and code belong to Luiz Gabriel Rebelatto or its licensors. You receive a personal, non-exclusive and non-transferable license to use the app on your devices, under these terms and the rules of the store you downloaded it from.

8. Third-party services

The app relies on third-party services such as OpenAI, Supabase, Render, RevenueCat, Apple and Google, which have their own terms. We don’t control these services and are not liable for their failures, without prejudice to your consumer rights.

9. Availability and changes

We may change, suspend or discontinue features of the app, for example because of changes in AI providers. When possible we will give advance notice. Since a copy of your recipes is kept on your device, they remain available even if an online feature stops.

10. Liability

The app is provided as is. We do our best for it to work well, but we don’t guarantee it will be error-free or always available. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for damage caused by using recipes without the precautions in section 4. Nothing in these terms limits rights under the Brazilian Consumer Protection Code or other laws that cannot be waived by contract.

11. Termination

You can stop using the app whenever you want and delete your account in Profile → "Delete account". When you delete your account, its data is erased as described in the Privacy Policy. Deleting your account does not cancel the subscription: cancel it in your store account settings.

12. Additional terms for App Store (Apple) downloads

• These terms are between you and the developer, not Apple. The developer, not Apple, is solely responsible for the app and its content.
• The license is limited to using the app on Apple-branded products you own or control, as permitted by the Usage Rules in the App Store Terms of Service.
• Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app.
• If the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price, if any. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation with respect to the app.
• The developer, not Apple, is responsible for addressing any claims relating to the app, including product liability, failure to meet legal or regulatory requirements, and consumer protection claims.
• In the event of a claim that the app infringes a third party’s intellectual property rights, the developer, not Apple, is responsible for its investigation, defense, settlement and discharge.
• You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated as a “terrorist supporting” country, and that you are not listed on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
• You must comply with applicable third-party terms when using the app, such as your internet provider’s.
• Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and, upon your acceptance, will have the right to enforce them against you.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the version in force. Significant changes will be announced in the app. If you keep using the app after the notice, the new version applies.

14. Governing law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of Brazil. Disputes may be brought in the courts of your place of residence. Questions, suggestions or complaints: at lbrebelatto@gmail.com.
